What is the best time to buy a kayak in the midwest area? Also….i am a completely new beginner in the kayaking world. What is a cheap but not crappy kayak that would be a good deal for me. should i get a used kayak and if so where would i find one? i dont want something really fancy and i dont want something flimsy and weak.

please give me every detail, every info.
oh, and this trip is for NEXT summer. not this one.
experiences from catalina would be very helpful.
or if you think catalina's not the best choice, other camp trip available kayaking trip places?

On day 3 of learning to Kayak I wanted to get better at surfing. I used a shock proof / water proof camera attached to my helmet to get point of view footage.
I do go upside down several times, and now folks can see what it’s like.
This one’s a bit long, so I do apologize.

Mike, Jeff and I went down the GW Canal a couple weeks back and I had some video I had shot. I decided to record my own soundtrack for it and used the song “Outside” by John Gorka (slightly modified, sorry John). If anyone wants lessons we teach kayaking. Check out www.ckapco.com.

most of your back, shoulder, abs, & to a lesser extent, arm muscles. kayaking is a great way to get in shape & is very peaceful (on a lake or ocean anyway)
