I have a perception swifty and a wilderness systems palmico 120, just wondering if they can be painted, if so, what's the best way, thanks

Yes. However you want, just don't use watercolor. There are some special spray paints for painting canoes, but they come in fairly simple colors. I'd get some outdoor spray paint and use paper/masking tape to make clean lines…
You know of course that it's going to come off real quick as you scrape it against rocks, just like any painted logos on your boat scrape off.. the only color that lasts is mixed in with the plastic when they make it. But don't worry about the paint hurting your boat.
